Knight
A veteran of the Sword Order, the Knight roams the roads seeking contracts. They refuse to remove their armor, some say from shame, some say from habit. With heavy blades and shields forged in better times, they are the unbreakable front line for any group that can afford them.

Smith
Descended from the Forge-masters who once shaped the Golems, the Smith commands the art of runes and black steel. Their weapons never dull, their walls withstand sieges that would topple any other. They carry in their blood the forbidden knowledge of binding stone to obedience, and in their silence, the guilt of an entire people.

Pioneer
When the war burned everything, someone had to rebuild. It was not the knights, too busy with their codes. It was not the smiths, still mourning their creations. It was common men and women who picked up axes and hammers and raised walls where ashes had been. The Pioneer is the first to arrive and the last to leave. They build bridges so the army can advance, raise palisades so the village can hold, and when the enemy arrives before the wall is finished, they drop the nail and take up the axe without hesitation.

Barbarian
No banner, no code, no master. The Barbarian lives by axe and plunder. When the four pillars crumbled, thousands were left without home, without country, without name. Some joined the Order's companies. Others offered their arms to the Forge. The hardest among them bowed to no one. They took what they needed by force and wrote their own laws in blood and fire.
